Wildes Holz

Wed, Apr 23, 2025, 19:30
Elbphilharmonie, Kleiner Saal (Hamburg)
Johannes Behr (Guitar), Tobias Reisige (Recorder), Markus Conrads (Double bass)
The trio Wildes Holz has made a name for itself by finally playing rock and pop music on »real« instruments. And these are, of course, wooden instruments! Especially the common recorder, which gives this music a very special flavour. But what is already possible with rock classics should be even more possible with the»real« classics! Wildes Holz takes on Bach, Beethoven, Mozart, Brahms and Telemann – and plays their music as if it were rock classics. And somehow they are. And the treatment with woody humour, virtuosity and a good pinch of self-irony does these works a world of good! It’s not for nothing that the trio has been playing on stages big and small in Germany for 25 years and has already become a classic in its own right.

Wildes Holz - KLASSIKER

Sat, Jan 10, 2026, 20:00
Tobias Reisige (Blockflöten), Johannes Behr (Guitar), Markus Conrads (Mandoline), Markus Conrads (Contrabass)
Wildes Holz, a trio known for playing rock and pop music on "real" instruments—woodwinds, especially the recorder—applies the same approach to classical composers like Bach, Beethoven, and Mozart. Their performances blend humor, virtuosity, and self-irony, breathing new life into these classic works. After 25 years performing across Germany, the trio has become a classic themselves.
